Indications:
The effect of Clostilbegyt is to trigger the development of the egg (so-called ovulation stimulation).
Therapeutic indications for women:
Stimulation of egg development in case of pituitary or ovarian diseases and after long-term administration of oral contraceptives. Elimination of pathological increase in milk secretion (galactorrhea) after childbirth.
Contraindications:
Do not use Clostilbegyt:
- if you are allergic to clomiphene or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
Precautions:
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using Clostilbegyt.
Pregnancy and breast-feeding:
Do not use this medicine if you are pregnant or think you may be pregnant. Before using Clostilbegyt you should perform a pregnancy test to make sure you are not pregnant.
Administration during breastfeeding can only be done after careful evaluation of the risk/benefit ratio by the doctor.
Clomiphene may reduce lactation.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine
Driving and using machines:
This medicine may cause visual disturbances, such as blurred vision, therefore, the limitation of driving or using machines should be assessed individually by your doctor.
Method of administration:
Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
The recommended dose should be taken once a day before meals.
Treatment in women should always be preceded by a gynecological examination due to the occurrence of side effects. Clostilbegyt should be used strictly only for the established therapeutic indication and under permanent medical supervision.
In case of infertility, the dosage and duration of treatment depend on the sensitivity (ability to react) of the ovaries.
In case of regular menstruation, it is recommended to start treatment on the 5th day of the menstrual cycle (or on the 3rd day of the cycle in case of early ovulation/follicular phase shorter than 12 days). If you do not have menstrual cycles, treatment can be started at any time.
Scheme no. 1: 50 mg/day for a period of 5 days, in the meantime, the development of the egg should be controlled by clinical examinations and laboratory investigations. The development of the egg (ovulation) usually occurs between the 11th and 15th day of the menstrual cycle.
If there is no development of the egg by applying this treatment, Scheme no. 2 is applied.
Scheme no. 2: daily doses of 100 mg should be administered for a period of 5 days starting from the 5th day of the next menstrual cycle. If after this treatment the egg does not develop, the same scheme can be repeated (100 mg/day). If the lack of ovulation persists, a 3-month treatment can be repeated, after a 3-month break. Additional treatments are useless.
You should not increase the dose above 100 mg/day or the duration of treatment beyond 5 days.
Treatment should be started with low doses (25 mg/day) in case of the appearance of cysts in the ovaries (so-called polycystic ovary syndrome).
In case of the absence of a post-contraceptive menstrual cycle, a daily dose of 50 mg will be administered; usually the therapeutic effects appear on the fifth day of treatment, even in the case of applying scheme no. 1.
This medicine should not be administered to women who are in menopause (post-menopause).
Use in children and adolescents:
This medicine should not be given to children and adolescents.

Composition:
- The active substance is clomiphene citrate. Each tablet contains 50 mg of clomiphene citrate.
- The other ingredients are: gelatin, magnesium stearate, stearic acid, talc, potato starch, lactose monohydrate (100 mg).
