Testosterone Teva, 1000 mg/4 ml testosterone undecanoate injectable solution, 1 vial, Teva Pharma
 
 
Indications:
Testosterone Teva contains the active substance testosterone, a male hormone. Testosterone Teva is injected into a muscle in the body. At this level, it can be stored and released gradually over a period of time. Testosterone Teva is used in adult men to replace testosterone, to treat various health problems caused by testosterone deficiency (male hypogonadism). This must be confirmed by two separate determinations of testosterone levels in the blood and must also be associated with clinical symptoms such as:
- impotence
- infertility
- low sex drive
- fatigue
- depressive states
- bone loss due to low hormone levels
 
Contraindications:
Do not use Testosterone Teva:
- if you are allergic to testosterone undecanoate or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
 
Precautions:
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using Testosterone Teva.
 
Pregnancy and breast-feeding:
Testosterone Teva is not intended for use in women and should not be used by pregnant or breast-feeding women.
 
Fertility:
Treatment with high-dose testosterone preparations can frequently reversibly inhibit or reduce sperm production (see also “Possible side effects”).
 
Method of administration:
Your doctor will inject Testosterone Teva (1 vial) very slowly into a muscle. He will give you injections every 10 to 14 weeks, often enough to maintain adequate testosterone levels without causing a build-up of testosterone in the blood.
 
Testosterone Teva is strictly for intramuscular injection. Special care should be taken to avoid injecting into a blood vessel (see “Administration”).
 
Starting treatment:
Your doctor will measure your testosterone levels in your blood before starting treatment and during the early stages of treatment. Your doctor may give you a second injection after just six weeks to quickly reach the required testosterone level. This will depend on your symptoms and testosterone levels.
 
Maintaining Testosterone Teva levels during treatment:
The time between injections should be within the recommended range of 10 to 14 weeks.
 
Your doctor will regularly measure your testosterone levels at the end of an interval between injections to ensure that they are at the right level. If your levels are too low, your doctor may decide to give you injections more frequently.
 
If your testosterone levels are too high, your doctor may decide to give you injections less frequently. Do not miss your injection appointments as this will not maintain your optimal testosterone levels.
 
If you think that the effect of Testosterone Teva is too strong or too weak, talk to your doctor.

Composition:
- The active substance is testosterone undecanoate 250 mg/ml (corresponding to testosterone 157.9 mg).
One vial contains testosterone undecanoate 1000 mg (corresponding to testosterone 631.5 mg).
- The other ingredients are benzyl benzoate and refined castor oil
