Indications:
Aspenter 75 mg works by preventing the formation of blood clots and is used to: - reduce the risk of myocardial infarction in patients with angina pectoris or with multiple risk factors - prevent recurrence of myocardial infarction - prevent stroke (transient ischemic attack and cerebral infarction) - maintain blood circulation in the blood vessels of the heart after certain surgical operations to dilate the coronary arteries (vasculoplasty and coronary artery bypass grafting) Aspenter 75 mg should not be used to treat fever or pain (regardless of their type) because it releases a small amount of acetylsalicylic acid.
 
Contraindications:
Do not use Aspenter 75 mg:
- if you are allergic to acetylsalicylic acid, other salicylates or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
 
Precautions:
Before using Aspenter 75 mg, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
 
Pregnancy and breast-feeding:
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine. Pregnant women should not take acetylsalicylic acid during pregnancy unless advised by your doctor.
 
Therapy in recommended doses or high doses of acetylsalicylic acid during the last trimester of pregnancy may cause serious complications for the mother or baby. Do not take Aspenter 75 mg if you are breast-feeding because small amounts of acetylsalicylic acid pass into breast milk and could affect the baby.
 
Driving and using machines:
Aspenter 75 mg does not affect your ability to drive or use machines.
 
Method of administration:
Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
 
Dosage
Adults:
The usual dose for long-term use is 75-150 mg once a day.
In some circumstances a higher dose may be appropriate, which can be used on the advice of a doctor, especially in the short term, and up to 300 mg per day.
 
The gastro-resistant tablets should be swallowed whole with sufficient liquid, preferably after a meal.
The tablets should not be divided, crushed or chewed.

Composition:
- The active substance is acetylsalicylic acid. One gastro-resistant tablet contains 75 mg acetylsalicylic acid.
- The other ingredients are: core - microcrystalline cellulose (type PH 112), pregelatinized starch, stearic acid, colloidal anhydrous silicon dioxide; film - talc, methacrylic acid copolymer with ethyl acrylate dispersion 30%, triethyl citrate, simethicone emulsion 30%.
